Ammunition for Ukraine
Together we are raising money to buy artillery ammunition for Ukraine. We make purchases continuously and consult with the Ukrainian army and experts from the Czech Ministry of Defence. The campaign started in Slovakia in response to the Slovak government's decision to stop military aid to Ukraine.
Campaign objective
In 2024 the Czech Republic has become one of Ukraine's most important allies in the fight against Russian occupation thanks to an international government initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. Although this ambitious initiative mainly involves states that have already contributed tens of millions of euros in contributions and are contributing funds from their national budget, thanks to the co-operation of Slovak and Czech initiatives, you can now participate as well.
What will be purchased
After consultations with the Ukrainian side, we intend to buy mainly 122 mm calibre ammunition, which Ukraine can use in older weapon systems, which are the backbone of Ukraine's defence. If the opportunity arises, we also have the resources to purchase more modern 155 mm ammunition, which is used in weapons supplied by Western countries. However, this is much more expensive and its purchases are mainly made by the countries associated in the so-called 'Czech Ammunition Initiative'.
Slovak courage
This collection was created as a reaction of people in Slovakia who wanted to oppose the decision of the government of Robert Fico to stop military aid to Ukraine and not to join the Czech ammunition initiative. In record time, 4 million euros were raised, making the Ammunition for Ukraine collection one of the largest and fastest growing collections in history.
Who is behind this initiative
The collection is jointly organized by the civic initiative Peace for Ukraine and Weapons to Ukraine (in 2023 we raised money for the Božena V demining machine together), and the project is also supported by All4Ukraine, Donio.sk and the organization Nezlomní. The media campaign is supported by Future Army, Infosecurity.sk, Sebavedomé Slovensko and Aktuálne o Ukrainy.

The gift for Putin was initiated in 2022 as a project to support the defense of Ukraine. In 2023, we became an independent non-profit organization. Supporting Ukraine’s defense, we collaborated with the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague to send equipment worth over 1 billion CZK, and we will continue doing so until Ukraine is free and safe again.
How is this legal?
The Czech Republic (where our fund was established) is one of the few countries where it is not only legal, but explicitly supported by law, for non-profit organizations to raise funds for weapons and military supplies for the Ukrainian army.
How do I get confirmation of my donation?
Select any campaign and if you leave the “I need a donation receipt” option checked, a form will automatically appear where you can enter all the necessary information. Once you complete the payment, the confirmation will be sent to your email automatically. For card payments it’s immediate, for bank transfers it may take a few days.
What about the e‑shop?
From the e‑shop profit (about two thirds of the price) we will pay production, storage and distribution; part of the proceeds will be used to run the fund and the remainder will be invested in weapons for the Ukrainian army.
Will you really buy the exact thing I'm funding?
Yes, that is correct. When you contribute to a specific campaign—like Tomáš the Tank or the Viktor air defense system—your funds are used solely for that specific purpose. While we occasionally purchase equipment while fundraising is still ongoing, it typically happens once the campaign finishes.
The time between the campaign's conclusion and delivery to Ukraine can vary from days to months. The defense industry is complicated, but we keep everyone informed about the entire process on Twitter and through media outlets.
